Manic Depression Cure
Why is it important to find a manic depression cure? If you have only one choice in life and it was to live or die which would you decide? For most people this would be a ridiculous question. What do you mean would I live or die? Of course you would choose to live right? Sadly, things are not that simple when suffering from manic depression. If you were suffering from this illness you may have to stop and think about the answer or you may even say you would choose to die. This is exactly why there is such a huge need for a manic depression cure. When a person suffers from manic depression they can hit low points most people will never experience. Even at the worst points in our lives those with healthy brain functions have the basic want to survive, that want to live. Those who suffer from manic depression can hit such a rock bottom that they no longer posses the basic instinct to survive. Instead they consider their daily lives and wonder what the point is. Why should they go on? What do they contribute?
I know this was especially true for my mother. She has been a licensed nurse before falling ill to manic depression. She became a stay at home mother after the third of three children was born. This all gave her a purpose and I think it may have been the link that kept her from completely giving up; however once all three children were out of the house and raised my mother was left with nothing much to do. She had no children to raise..has no job to go to…and had no special someone in her life. She tried dating but understanding manic depression is no easy task and she never did find someone who would except her for who she was. Many times she would tell me she felt as though she had no purpose in life, like she was just taking up space. When my siblings and I had child of our own and started making my mother a part of their life she showed remarkable improvement. She had found her purpose in being a grandmother and she was a great one.
A manic depression cure would be life changing not only for the people who suffer directly from manic depression but also the spouses, children, and families of these folks. The highs and lows that these people go through are comparable to those of a roller coaster ride. The highs are extreme as well as the lows. While on a high they are likely to go on shopping sprees including large ticket items such as cars, jewelry, etc. They may not necessarily be able to afford these items but they get a sense of joy when purchasing them and are ok with facing the consequences later. Many times they may even spend money they desperately need for rent or food. These people need a manic depression cure.
The lows suffered by one suffering from manic depression are hard to describe. A person may cast off friends or family members in favor of being home along. Often times you may visit them late in the afternoon to find them still in bed. Now a lot of people stay up late and therefore sleep in but these people sleep as much as 20+ hours a day. They would rather sleep than face the reality of their lives. Even the most basic actions such as bathing or brushing their teeth can become a chore. What a difference a manic depression cure could make in their lives. If you could see no point in doing something would you do it? The answer is probably not and that is exactly how these people can feel about life. If there is no point why carry on?
A manic depression cure wouldn’t have to be a magical pill or some complicated new form of brain surgery. It could be as easy as some type of self help guide or there could even be an herbal manic depression cure. Regardless of what it takes to cure this illness the benefits far outweigh the time and financial investment needed to create such a thing. This could be the end of suicide for many families. What is saving thousands of families really worth anyway? Can you put a dollar figure on that?
